John and I have stopped in twice now to Carroll's and we love it. We actually planned better for the second trip and brought a cooler! Gifts, specialty foods, wines and the MEAT!!! It is simply too easy to shop here. We snagged Japanese wine, cider, bacon, pork chops & more. Or first visit was later in the day and we could see that the have hot foods to take to go- but they were already shut down that first visit. The second visit everything was in full swing- the whole store smelled of fabulous sausages- we even got to try some and John bought one to scarf down in the car! John secretly wishes we lived closer now that he has cooked up the delicious pork chops- bacon is up next! I'll have to pester him tomorrow about it. I even got a bottle of mead on this last visit! The Lychee wine was so good, I even shared it with a friend! Not to mention the name- Carroll's! John's moms name was Carol- so we love stopping at mom's namesake store! BTW- I got a bacon buttermilk ranch dressing on the first visit and it is so good- I don't want to share! lol. Highly recommend popping in to shop!

Quite a good selection of fresh meats and tchotchkes. Wound up spending a little more than anticipated, but walked out with all kinds of local hot sauces, candies and jerky.

We were looking for BBQ lunch right off the I-75 while driving from Charleston to Jacksonville. This place hit the spot! Yes, it's a large country store with every candy, snack, and spice you can imagine. It also sells fresh meats and sausages in a butcher department. But there's a small area where you can grab warm, prepared pulled pork and sausage (bratwurst) sandwiches. Highly recommend both the pulled pork and Vidalia onion & cheese sausage. Grab an inside table and enjoy a quick delicious meal and fun, unique experience. The vanilla cream soda was also delish. We bought some soft, fresh black licorice to snack on later - great anise flavor. Definitely stop here if you're passing through!

Great customer service! I love their great meat selection and pricing. They had their sugar-free maple syrup and thick sliced bacon! I go and stock up once a month!

Place is so great - we schedule the timing of our visits to FL from GA so that we pass by when it's open. Great staff and high quality products.

Enjoyed the hot sausage. Gratefully for the stereo foam coolers! Thank you to KJ for taking our order and being patient with my elderly father. Got sausage home! Looking forward to returning.

I love it. The meat is better than you will find in a grocery store chain. Friendly helpful staff. I stop in when playing hide and seek from local police writing speeding tickets on I-75!! Place has a unique charm to it. Not the usual tourist trap.

Carols Sausage and Country Store is located off I-75 in Ashburn Georgia. So many billboards on the highway we had to stop. Very cool store with a fantastic meat department. Fresh sausage and every type of bacon you can imagine. We picked up several types of bacon and bacon ends. Service was great and the prices were reasonable. The products we purchased have been great and you can taste the difference. Glad we stopped because we will always visit while in Georgia.

Just a wonderful store! The billboards along the highway grabbed our attention and decided to stop on our way back to Florida, and so glad we did. We bought different types of sausages, with jalapeños and bacon, medium and mild hot vidalia onions and cheddar smoked, and hot ones. All amazing, but beware! The hot ones are really hot. We also bought sausage stuffed pork chops wrapped with bacon. It was delicious. There is a tasting station, which we tried before making a decision. They sell hot dogs for a couple of bucks also, which are awesome (had a couple for breakfast). So, if you are in the area, don't hesitate to stop.

I seen my friends stop here so it was on my radar and so when I saw the sign it was a for sure stop. The place is a big presence with an RV park and that big peanut out front. The front has country charm, which bids you in. The first thing you see is a welcomeing fire in the fireplace and lots of friendly faces. The place is pretty big so don't miss anything. It looked like they used to have a buffet maybe but it's now a craft area and in the middle is a fast hit box for sandwiches. They offer a lot of local products and their own line of products thru out. Enjoyed a banana bread sample and bought some nice sauces to take home.Overall enjoyed our stop in.
